Rec Well - Facility Operations Crew (Summer 2026, Fall 2026-Winter 2027)Members of the Facility Operations Crew will assist with maintaining building and equipment cleanliness and functionality, performing event setup and teardown, and monitoring select events. Other duties may include assisting with seasonal setup and teardown of the Recreation Outdoor Complex (ROC) and with regular maintenance of the Grizzly Oaks Disc Golf Course. Support for certain ROC turf maintenance projects might be delegated.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must have a Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to work as a team.

Maintains a high standard of professionalism in all interactions, demonstrating respect, courtesy, and a positive attitude in fast-paced environments.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, sanitizing, mopping, and vacuuming, in the Rec facilities.
- Perform setup/teardown for events (tables, chairs, bleachers, podiums, signs, and stage sections)
- Monitor event/rental groups for appropriate facility usage and space cleanliness.
- Assist with the annual shutdown week projects.
- Assist with seasonal setup and teardown of goals, tennis/pickleball nets, windscreens, and safety backstops.
- Sweeping and basic maintenance of tennis courts and track surfaces.
- Assisting with regular trash checks and maintenance of pads and buckets on the Grizzly Oaks Disc Golf Course.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete required forms and lists.

- $15/hour - Minimum rate for new hires
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and early mornings.
- Complete assigned OU Golf Cart training requirements at the time of hire.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
- Act in accordance with the Clery Act as a mandated reporter and carry out responsibilities in reporting a crime on campus as a University Recreation and Well-Being staff member.
- Must be enrolled part-time, at least 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students and 4 credit hours for graduate students at Oakland University.
- Certification in Group Exercise instruction by a reputable agency is required.
- Must obtain American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification upon hire
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Facility Operations Crew reports directly to the Facility Operations Coordinator.
- Facility Operations Crew reports indirectly to the Facility Operations Team Lead.
- Additionally, Facility Operations Crew may receive on-duty requests or instructions from any Rec Well professional staff member.
