The club opened this new era with the
2024 U.S. Junior Amateur
and will host seven additional USGA championships over the next 27 years. A state-of-the-art maintenance facility opened in 2025, with a new clubhouse set to open in Spring 2026. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be at the forefront of meaningful change.

Founded in 1916 with Walter Hagen as the first club professional, Oakland Hills is a 36-hole Donald Ross private club that has hosted 17 major championships. Legends such as Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Ben Hogan have competed here—Hogan famously nicknamed the South Course “The Monster.”
Recently restored by Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner, and Caveman Construction, the South Course returned to Donald Ross’ original vision and rapidly rose in world rankings following its 2021 debut.
