Job Description

Driver II must hold a valid Driver License, provide efficient, consistent, safe and timely service.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00.

• Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before and after routes.
• Maintain a clean atmosphere inside and outside the vehicle.
• Wear seat belt and use all available safety equipment while driving.
• Operate a company vehicle weighing under 26,000 lb (GVW) transporting passengers or supplies.
• Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a positive representation of Aramark.
• Pickup and drop off guests at designated locations.
• Possibly lift guest luggage up to 80 lb into the vehicle.
• Fuel, clean and inspect the vehicle when required.
• Identify maintenance and safety issues, correct them and report malfunctions immediately.
• Ensure all vehicle logbooks and rider-ship information logs are completed properly.
• Work with the Transportation Office dispatcher to complete special and group requests.
• Transport equipment to and from the warehouse as a warehouse driver.
• Perform maintenance and safety inspections on service trucks, pickups, trailers and other vehicles, including checking and changing oil, tires, lights and general condition.
• Take vehicle to a car wash when necessary.
• Assist with clerical work, answering phones, dispatcher duties and other office tasks.
• When applicable, sell and dispense propane following federal dispensing laws, dispensing only into bottles with OPD under 10 lb.
• When required, operate a cash register in some circumstances, handling cash, traveler’s checks and credit cards safely and accurately.
• Understand the machinery and chemicals used and be aware of SDS sheets and books, using this information when necessary.
• Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings.
• Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations.
• Know and follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy, as well as road rules.
• Understand that job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.

• Age 21 years or older.
• At least 1 year of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience; customer service experience preferred.
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
• Valid driver license with a clean 5‑year driving record.
• Pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and participate in random drug/alcohol testing.
• Complete and pass a Defensive Driving Course prior to driving a company vehicle.
• Possibly required to have a passenger endorsement or airbrake endorsement.
• Experience driving in all weather conditions, including winter weather and tire chain installation.
• Comfortable with equipment used: company vehicle, walkie‑talkie, hand truck, computer, photocopier, printer, telephone.
• Little or no travel required (less than 10%).
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment may be required.
