Quick service to all customers. - Ensure all customers entering the store or fuel island are greeted sincerely and properly.
- Customer Service:
Above-average service at all points of contact during the visit. - Accuracy and Judgement:
Demonstrate attention to detail in all areas of responsibility. - Cashiers:
Cleanliness, stocking product, all methods of customer payment. - Full-serve attendants:
Vehicle fueling, oil checking procedures, washing windows, all methods of payment collection. - The customer payment process is done quickly and accurately, regardless of position.
- Customer Farewell:
After a quick and efficient transaction. - The customer farewell is done with a smile and a sincere “Thank You”.
- This is always done in an upbeat manner, regardless of mood or disposition.
- Appearance:
Maintain a clean, professional location; daily cleaning projects; maintain coffee area sanitary and stocked. - Job Knowledge:
Thorough working knowledge of all gas island and store procedures. - Demonstrate knowledge of product location and prices.
- Cashier only:
Thorough knowledge of cashier equipment including cash register, credit card terminals and lottery machines. - Teamwork:
Work with others as a team. - Demonstrate an outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
- Assist co-workers, including helping new hires learn duties.
- Good working knowledge of all store policies and procedures.
- General appearance of your work area and the store as a whole.
- Adhering to dress code at all times – clean uniforms, neat appearance, proper hygiene.
- Developing good communication and teamwork skills.
- Staying current with changes in products and prices.
- Security of all money left on the property under your charge.
- Upholding State & Federal laws concerning sale of alcohol & tobacco products.
- This includes refusing sale of alcohol and tobacco when necessary per laws.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- All associates will be expected to wear appropriate clothing and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
- During colder months, may be required to dress in a manner that allows enduring long periods outdoors.
- Job requires remaining on feet throughout shift, with much movement between counter, sales area & fuel islands, and heavy lifting of cooler cases.
- No designated rest periods; associates take breaks as business dictates and are paid for time.
- Associates must be flexible about hours and days worked; willing to stay longer or fill in for others.
- Associates must be capable of working under stress and pressure, especially during rush hours.
- Associates required to keep themselves busy during slow periods with cleaning projects such as cleaning fuel pumps, sweeping, painting, shoveling snow, stocking merchandise, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, cleaning shelving.
