Medical Surgical Floor RN - Oakland, Maryland. This position involves providing patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit with a diverse patient population. The role requires collaboration with healthcare team members and adherence to unit protocols to ensure quality care delivery.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or PM, with weekend rotations. Additional shifts may be available; scheduling is managed by the facility's manager, and preferences can be accommodated.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Certifications include BLS (American Heart Association) and NIHSS; candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with EPIC electronic health record system, strong medsurg background, and familiarity with Cpap and Bipap equipment.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required to assist other units within the facility.
• Additional Information:
  The unit has 32 beds (currently staffing 20 beds), with nurse-to-patient ratios no more than 5. The unit handles a variety of patients including cardiac, respiratory, post-operative, pediatric, and general medical patients. Assignments may involve working with Cpap, Bipap, high flow oxygen, and vents. Training includes 35 days of unit orientation, tour, and policy discussions. Scrubs are provided, and the dress code excludes camo and orange scrubs.
