Service Tech

Freedom Ag & Energy Cooperative Inc seeks a Service Tech to support local producers with reliable on-site equipment service. In this field-based role, you will install, maintain, and repair agronomy, feed, grain, and energy-related equipment for farms and rural customers. Duties include diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and timely response to service calls. You'll operate service trucks and tools safely, document work performed, and collaborate closely with co-op teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair agronomy, feed, grain, and energy equipment on farms and rural sites
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and safety checks on customer and co-op equipment
• Respond to on-site service calls in a timely, professional, and safe manner
• Document work performed, parts used, and service recommendations in service records
• Operate service trucks, tools, and lifting equipment in compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with agronomy, feed, grain, and energy teams to support member needs
• Provide basic equipment operation guidance and safety tips to customers
• Maintain clean, organized service vehicles, tools, and work spaces
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with equipment, technology, and safety practices
