Accounts Payable Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time (Temp / Temp-to-Perm / Direct Hire – flexible based on hiring needs)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | Standard Business Hours

Compensation: $26.50 - $33.00 per hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing organization in Oakland, NJ. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience managing high-volume invoice processing and vendor relationships.

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Perform three-way matching (purchase order, receipt, invoice)
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Support audit requests and documentation as needed

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables a plus)
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment
• Exposure to month-end close processes
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries is a plus
