Reports to: District Supervisor of World Languages and Building Principal
Description- Teach Italian language courses at various levels as assigned
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, New Jersey Student Learning Standards for World Languages, and language proficiency guidelines
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes cultural understanding of Italian-speaking communities
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, projects, and proficiency-based assessments
- Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum development, vertical articulation, and world language initiatives
- Participate in parent-teacher communications, department meetings, and school events as required
- Incorporate technology and authentic resources to enhance language acquisition and cultural competency
- Must hold or be immediately eligible for NJDOE certification in World Languages, Italian (1530)
- Previous teaching experience preferred. Retired teachers encouraged to apply.
Salary range is $311 to $340 per day, depending on level of experience and education.
