Job Description:

CTC Academy, located in Oakland, NJ (Bergen County), is a not-for-profit organization that serves special needs children/young adults, ranging from 6 to 21 years of age. CTC provides services to diverse learners with multiple and varying disabilities. The focus of our instruction program is to enhance students’ individual strengths while fostering innovative learning techniques that promote autonomy and success.

Full Time, 35.5 hours per week, 11 month position.

• K-6 Elementary and Teacher of Students with Disabilities
• Teacher of the Handicapped certificate

• Implement a high-quality curriculum while differentiating instruction to fulfill each child’s IEP
• Utilize a wide variety of assistive technology to meet the diverse instructional needs of students
• Collaborate with professional staff using a team approach
• Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.
• Demonstrate professional collaboration skills by working as a team with parents, professional staff and administration

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• 1 Year Teaching Experience (Preferred)
• Background Working with Students with Significant Disabilities (Preferred)

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM (except Thurs. 8 AM to 3:30 PM)
