Sales Associate - Oakland Ace Hardware
Starting Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
About the Role
As a Sales Associate at Oakland Ace Hardware, you'll provide amazing customer service with a world class shopping experience. Our sales associates assist customers both on the sales floor and over the phone, helping them find the right products and solutions for their home improvement projects. Sales associate build an amazing retail experience by merchandising displays, stocking aisles, maintaining inventory and performing all in-store services.
What You'll Do
* Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance in person and over the phone
* Accurately process special orders, deliveries, and service requests
* Assemble merchandise and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery
* Stock and downstock merchandise while maintaining clean, organized displays
* Receive, organize, and stock incoming deliveries
* Assist with inventory counts and maintain safe, orderly stock areas
* Support overall store operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Basic computer skills
* Willingness to learn hardware products, tools, and services
* Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods
* Ability to climb ladders and lift 40+ pounds
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
* Experience using small tools or hardware products is a plus
* Weekend availability required
* High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing)
* Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
