Description:The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional HS District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Spring Track & Field Coach at Indian Hills High School for the season. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the track and field program, fostering a positive environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and workouts. Provide instruction on track and field techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Support game-day operations, including warm‑ups, and post‑game analysis.
- Mentor student‑athletes, promoting academic success and development.
- Assist with equipment management and logistics with players and parents.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
- Previous coaching and/or experience with track and field at the high school, collegiate, or club level, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of track and field fundamentals, strategies, and safety protocols. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, athletic staff, and school administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for high school athletes. Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.
