JOB REQUIREMENTSYou must be 16 years of age or older.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SKILLS- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Exposure to varying temperature and weather conditions.
- Exposure to food fumes, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°C, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
TEMPERAMENTSAbility to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Climbing: infrequently navigate stairs or ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, and perform maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; duration approximately 30–45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: continuously up, down, and forward; reach above 72 inches occasionally to operate oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift objects to and from shelves; reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; reach forward to obtain topping ingredients, clean work surfaces, or answer phones.
- Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous during the day; frequent activities require one or both hands; shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists; manipulation of pizza peel and rolling cutter; frequent and/or forceful pinching required in the assembly of cardboard pizza boxes; must be able to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes;
use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
