About the Company
Our client is a boutique firm in Oakville with a focus on personal injury and insurance litigation. They are currently seeking a friendly and outgoing legal assistant/intake clerk to join our team.
About the Role
- Providing assistance to lawyers and clerks as required
- Performing secretarial and administrative tasks, including opening files, transcribing digital dictation, and scheduling examinations for discovery and mediations
- Supporting the preparation and management of authorizations, undertakings, discoveries, and productions
- Responding to client inquiries and communicating with clients
- Organizing and maintaining document files and case correspondence
- Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk course
- Previous civil litigation experience and knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience with PC Law
- Solid computer and typing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Prima Fact an asset
$50,000 - $60,000
