Summary

CSN is seeking a high‑potential, detail‑oriented, hands‑on, recruitment & onboarding specialist to be an efficient driver for full lifecycle recruiting. This individual will focus on the interview process, intentionally seeking diverse candidates. This individual will use our values and strive for greatness to guide and develop the next generation of employees. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture (P&C), the successful candidate must have experience with full‑cycle recruitment and building the employer's brand, ensuring that CSN is positioned to attract, hire, and retain the next generation, who will contribute to the growth of our network.

Primary

Objectives of the Role Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Conduct full‑cycle recruitment for corporate, shop, and U.S. locations.
  • Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies to attract diverse, high‑quality talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and update job descriptions.
  • Develop targeted outreach campaigns for hard‑to‑fill roles.
  • Leveraging social media, employee testimonials, and video content to showcase the CSN employer brand.
  • Creating referral‑driven hiring initiatives to engage current employees.
  • Building passive‑candidate pipelines through ongoing relationship development.
  • Collaborate with trade schools, colleges, apprenticeship programs, and community organizations to build long‑term talent pipelines; coordinate school visits, presentations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Manage candidate flow and communication through Workable with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Proactively source candidates using job boards, networking, pipelines, and recruitment events.
  • Represent CSN Collision at job fairs and industry events.
  • Conduct screening interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Provide structured feedback to candidates and hiring teams.
  • Prepare and deliver offer letters, support negotiations, and guide candidates through acceptance.
  • Create monthly recruitment and pipeline reports.
  • Work with the Senior HR Generalist on recruitment and employee retention initiatives.
Onboarding & Orientation
  • Lead the full onboarding process and serve as the primary contact for all new hires.
  • Conduct HR orientations covering policies, culture, and procedures.
  • Coordinate pre‑employment requirements (background checks, eligibility, tax forms, benefits paperwork).
  • Prepare onboarding materials, new hire toolkits, and system access with IT and managers.
  • Organize team introductions, tours, first‑week schedules, and job‑specific training.
  • Maintain and update onboarding resources, handbooks, and training guides.
People & Culture Support
  • Assist the Senior Generalist, P&C with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture‑building activities.
  • Support internal communications and content for People & Culture updates.
  • Conduct the administration of employee benefits programs and respond to benefits inquiries.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Deliver training to hiring managers on recruitment practices and ATS usage.
Administrative Support
  • Administrative support on other projects as needed.
Travel Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to attend the Oakville, Ontario office 2‑3 times per week (Hybrid).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Open concept office environment.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays.
