Position: Sales Consultant (Retirement Living) - Future Talent Pool

Overview

Cogir Senior Living manages retirement residences across the country. We offer a range of senior living options including independent living, assisted living and memory care. For over 25 years, we have dedicated every day to the happiness of retirees.

Role summary

We are seeking sales leaders who embody courage and empathy and possess tenacity, curiosity and patience to support prospects in their retirement living journey. You will build relationships and contribute to a sales cycle that promotes our residences, focusing on prospecting and community outreach. You will collaborate with local businesses, engage in referral partnerships, tour potential prospects, advance them through the sales process, and participate in and host events.

A thorough understanding of our care levels—Independent Living (IL), Independent Supportive Living (ISL), Memory Care (MC), and Assisted Living (AL)—and of your market area is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales process with a primary focus on surpassing occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Utilize business acumen in forecasting, competitor analysis, and business development to contribute to organizational success.
  • Prospect, network, and develop referral partnerships; tour potential prospects and move them through the sales funnel.
  • Represent the organization at events and through community outreach to promote our residences.
Skills and experience
  • Ability to connect with people and empathetic communication style
  • Natural warmth, enthusiasm, and high energy for community outreach
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and close sales
  • Strong initiative, self-direction, and business sense
  • Comfort working under pressure and meeting targets
Your experience
  • At least two (2) years of direct sales experience with proven success
  • Customer and relationship-building sales experience
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sales action plans
  • Experience with common business applications and CRM systems
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel within the local community
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as required)
  • Event management experience is an asset
  • Experience with media management is an asset

Salary

Salary Range: $65,000–$70,000 annually
