Levitt‑Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SHOP technician to join our team in Oakville, ON.
About the RoleBased primarily in our shop in Oakville, you will be provided full training to support our customers and mobile technicians. You will build your career with us through formal technical training and certifications from our manufacturers, as well as hands‑on training with our experienced team. As you build your skills and experience, you’ll have the opportunity to progress to a mobile technician role, working in the field on customer sites to maintain equipment, conduct fit testing, and become a critical Face of Levitt‑Safety to our customers.
MainResponsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of fire equipment such as extinguishers and other types of fire & life safety equipment
- Conducting fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and audits, with value‑add suggestions for follow‑up and maintenance
- Performing site‑specific training for owners and end‑users
- Annual salary - 45,K based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
- Monday to Friday, salaried position with paid vacation and other time away from work benefits; potential for overtime

- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands‑on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
- A valid drivers’ license and clean drivers abstract
- Prior customer service experience and great communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Able to pass pre‑employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
