Oakville Nissan is looking for an Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service team.
We're looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in their workmanship, knows how to diagnose problems properly and understands the importance of getting the repair right the first time.
This is an opportunity to join an established dealership where you'll work alongside an experienced Service and Parts team, have access to ongoing manufacturer training and continue developing your skills as automotive technology evolves.

What You'll Be DoingAs an Apprentice Automotive Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while meeting dealership and manufacturer standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional maintenance, safety or repair requirements.
- Clearly document diagnostic findings, completed repairs and recommendations.
- Communicate with Service Advisors when additional work is required or when repairs may affect the expected completion time.
- Work collaboratively with the Parts Department to identify and obtain the correct parts required for repairs.
- Complete warranty repairs according to Nissan manufacturer requirements and provide accurate supporting documentation.
- Perform road tests and post-repair inspections when required to confirm vehicle operation and repair quality.
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of customer vehicles throughout the repair process.
- Keep your technical knowledge current through manufacturer-sponsored training and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety requirements, dealership policies and established safety procedures.
We're looking for a technician who combines strong technical ability with professionalism, efficiency and attention to detail.
Required- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a Service team
- Ability to communicate repair findings clearly and professionally
- Own required hand tools
- Previous dealership or independent shop experience, 1-2 years would be a strong asset
