Oberlin City Schools in Lorain County is looking for a Head Varsity Co-Ed Cross Country Coach for Oberlin High School. Previous head coaching experience is preferred but not required. The head coach must be organized, hard-working, and demonstrate a strong desire to build a program at all levels. The head coach will oversee all phases of the cross country program including, but not limited to, player development, monitoring academic success, staff development and mentoring, college recruiting process, community relations, and equipment inventory.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team that achieves academic and athletic success on a consistent basis. The head coach monitors academic progress; develops training programs that are safe and effective for student-athletes; schedules games and practices in accordance with school policies.

Employment is pursuant upon appropriate background checks and the obtainment of proper CPR, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Management Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Pupil Activity Supervision Licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.
