Job Description
The Ninde College Access Program serves the Oberlin City School District. The program serves all students at Oberlin High School, providing college access services including college tours, college application support, ACT/SAT testing sign up, financial aid application support, scholarship application distribution and filing, and other supports for students regarding the college and post‑secondary option process.
The Ninde College Access Support Specialist role is to be fulfilled by Oberlin College students who have an interest in working with high school students and may have been served by a college access program in their K‑12 experience. Successful candidates will be supporting administrative tasks such as data entry and collection, creating promotional materials, scheduling college tours, and other tasks to support the program.
Responsibilities- Assist students with college applications
- Assist students with scholarship applications
- Create promotional materials for workshops and events
- Gather and input programmatic data
- Contact colleges/universities to request tours
- Other support duties as assigned
- Understanding of college application and scholarship process
- Dependable, customer service focus, ability to resume tasks after frequent interruptions
- This position is designed to work at Oberlin High School for 2–3 days per week, for 2+ hours per day, between the hours of 8 am – 4 pm
- This position will require working with a variety of students and staff, in an environment that is prone to frequent interruptions
