The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and materials to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming materials, inprocess work, and finished products for quality and compliance
  • Measure products using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tapes
  • Compare inspection results against specifications, drawings, and quality standards
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify defects, nonconformances, and potential root causes
  • Communicate quality issues to production and management teams
  • Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Follow safety guidelines and quality system requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA, as applicable)
  • Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred
  • 13 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing (industry-specific experience a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and measurement techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, quality management systems)
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other quality standards
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Ability to work independently and follow procedures consistently
  • Knowledge of inspecting parts using GD&T to meet drawing requirements, using tools like CMMs, calipers, and micrometers.
Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing or production environment
  • May require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
