Maintenance Supervisor - Full Time - (Fri-Mon)
Overview
Zenni Optical is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our amazing team in Obetz, Ohio. In this hands-on role, you will supervise the maintenance team, troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of optical manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You’ll minimize downtime and support production goals by executing both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills, supervisory experience, a mechanical or electrical background, and a desire to grow expertise in a high-tech, fast-paced manufacturing environment. ShiftFriday through Monday, 40+ hours per week, 7am – 5pm
Responsibilities- Coordinate and assign maintenance projects
- Oversee ongoing maintenance programs (Maintenance Connection), including routine maintenance, seasonal preparations, renovation projects and scheduled upgrades
- Conduct regular inspections
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, inventory, etc.
- Collaborate with third-party contractors and technicians as needed
- Hire, train and supervise maintenance employees
- Ensure safety compliance, including training staff on safety measures
- Knowledge of commonly used maintenance equipment and materials
- Experience with repair and installation techniques for HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Understand current safety regulations and protocols
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and address malfunctions
- Maintain and repair a wide range of optical manufacturing equipment, balancing production support and preventative maintenance
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot in-line manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Diagnose equipment issues, identify faulty components, and perform repairs using standard testing tools and documentation
- Inspect, service, and repair production and support equipment using mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum system technologies
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Relevant experience in building maintenance, facility management, or skilled trades (e.g., Maintenance Technician, Facilities Coordinator, or Lead Hand)
- Demonstrated ability to guide tasks, coordinate schedules, or support a team
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving a wide range of maintenance issues
- Previous optical manufacturing experience is a bonus
