Summary

Fidelity Manufacturing, a growing $150 million manufacturing company located in Ocala, Florida, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records and reporting while supporting the organization's financial operations. The Senior Accountant will perform a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities, including month-end and year-end closing, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, financial analysis, and maintaining effective internal controls.

The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and cross-functional departments to provide timely financial information that supports sound business decisions and organizational growth. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Certifications
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active pursuit of certification
Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze income statement and balance sheet activity, researching and resolving variances.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports for management.
  • Support annual financial statement audits and external audit requests.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal control procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to support financial reporting needs.
  • Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support special projects and financial analyses as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
  • Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting financial reporting
Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
Experience
  • 5–7 years of progressive financial accounting experience.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience working with ERP accounting systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.
