TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:
Dental hygiene tools, Eagle soft and HMS computer software
JOB DESCRIPTION:- Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
- Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
- Assisting a high number of patients as required.
- Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.
- Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
- Must have a current/active CPR certificate
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
- Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
- Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
- Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – highly preferred
- Pediatric Experience – highly preferred
