Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following statements describe the principal functions of this position and the scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements. Maintains consistent daily communication with the Horticulturist/Landscape Architect concerning landscape installation and maintenance clerical needs
Ensure landscape and irrigation designs adhere to current BLCCDD and other applicable governing agency regulations
Provides oversight during landscape and irrigation project installations
Performs routine community drive throughs to evaluate overall landscape appearance
Monitors budgets, keeping them up to date and tracking expenses accordingly for year-to-date fiscal responsibility
Schedules and coordinates meetings for the Horticulturist/Landscape Architect Provides scheduling oversight for the Land Development team Assists the Horticulturist/Landscape Architect with plan reviews
Acts as the main point of contact for contractors
Oversees the landscape and irrigation project close out process
Assists in generating contract documents for landscape installation and maintenance
Approves monthly invoicing from subcontractors for maintenance contracts
Files paperwork/correspondence for the department as necessary
Performs all duties in adherence to Company standards
Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, contractors and co-workers
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Technical Skills)
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two years’ experience in Landscaping and Irrigation operations or related industry required
Strong customer service experience required
Green Industries Best Management Practices preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
Must be able to read, write, and understand English with strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Ability to plan, coordinate, oversee projects and personnel
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office required
Experience in Bluebeam and Dropbox is preferred, or willingness to learn the program is required
Good writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work well either alone and/or as part of a team Ability to use critical thinking, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills effectively
