Trauma Neurosurgeon

Job Summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, an American College of Surgeons verified Level I Trauma Center, seeks an experienced trauma neurosurgeon for its Department of Trauma. The surgeon will provide neurosurgical care for trauma patients in the ICU and on the floor, supported by APPs and a full-service line. Clinical research is optional, and affiliate faculty teaching with the University of Central Florida is available.

• Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery.
• Spine fellowship preferred and spine experience required.
• Focus primarily on trauma neurosurgery within the hospital‑based trauma department.
• Manage neuro‑trauma alerts, trauma consults, and follow‑up clinic appointments.
• Participate in peer review, program improvement, trauma center survey verification/designation, and quality rounds.
• Share caseload with another dedicated trauma neurosurgeon and APP support.
