Position Summary:
The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Ocala, FL.
This is a full-time outpatient opportunity, offering a balanced schedule, manageable patient volume, and access to in-house lab and diagnostic services. You'll have the support of a collaborative team, including nurse practitioners, diabetic educators, and experienced clinical staff, all dedicated to improving endocrine health in the community. Essential
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic disorders.
- Conduct consultations and follow-up visits in a dedicated outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of primary care physicians, diabetic educators, and support staff.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and clinical innovation initiatives.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Engage in patient education and preventive care strategies to promote long-term wellness.
Qualifications:
- Education:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution. - Licensure & Certification:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology; active Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain). - Experience:
Outpatient or community-based clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
