Faculty-Clinical Coordinator of Cardiovascular Technology Program Job Description

Develop a healthy and caring learning environment that offers a variety of participation options, aligning with the college's vision of quality higher education.

Key responsibilities span teaching, professional development, college service, student service and public service, as defined in the Faculty Handbook.

• Plan, prepare, and teach course content using effective instructional methodologies and assessment tools.
• Maintain expertise in the field of study and teaching pedagogy.
• Participate in professional organizations as appropriate.
• Engage in enrollment management activities and share professional expertise with colleagues and students.
• Support recruitment, marketing, and program-building activities for A.S., B.A.S./B.S., and PSAV programs.
• Provide student activities support, including course and career guidance to foster a love of learning.
• Share professional ideas and expertise with the community and private agencies (without compensation).
• Assist in departmental schedule development and planning.
• Use technology to teach and communicate with students.
• Serve as lead faculty, program manager/department chair, and committee member when appropriate.
• Drive a college vehicle when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education
  * or training: Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic or Radiology required. Bachelor's degree in Cardiopulmonary, health‑related studies, or education preferred. Active registration or licensure in a health profession required. RCIS or RCES credentials preferred.
  * Education must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience: Two years of clinical experience required. Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Special skills or abilities: Commitment to a diverse student population, excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, knowledge of learning and assessment theories and pedagogy, high technical skill and subject matter expertise, evidence of initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability.

• Acceptable eyesight and hearing, with or without correction or hearing aid.
• Clear oral and written communication over the phone and computer for extended periods.
• Extended sitting at a desk and viewing a display screen.
• Moderate lifting up to 40 pounds; walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and bending.
• Driving a college vehicle.

• Workspace inside classroom/laboratory environment.
