- Pre‑employment drug testing is mandatory for all prospective MCPS employees.
- Pre‑employment Level II ground check will be conducted on all prospective MCPS employees.
- Any omission, incorrect or false response to any information on your application will constitute a reason for refusal to hire or dismissal.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that qualifies for Florida Educator Certification; if not, may qualify via District certification in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) subject area, Military Veterans Certification Pathway, Temporary Teacher Internship Certification Pathway, or ROTC position.
- Applicant must have a valid Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) educator's certificate or provide required documents (transcript, out‑of‑state certificate, FLDOE exam scores).
- Applicant must meet Florida Retirement System guidelines for (re) employment: never employed by any FRS agency, never retired, and more than 6 full calendar months since retiring or from an FRS pension or distribution.
