Position Specific DescriptionThis position will report to the Plant Manager and be based at Cape Canaveral Clean Energy Center in Cocoa, FL. The successful candidate will have strong safety leadership presence and a bias for action. Instrument & controls and electrical maintenance experience preferred. The role involves planning and executing daily maintenance on industrial plant equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines, instruments, transmitters, and valves.
The candidate will troubleshoot and analyze equipment performance deviations while ensuring the plant’s I&C equipment is always in excellent operational condition and available for use. This position is the site Distributed Control System (DCS) champion and owns the Alarm Management Process. Working hours include overtime, weekends, and overhaul periods.
- DCS Experience; T-3000, Toshiba preferred
- Combined‑cycle power plant maintenance and/or operations
- Experience managing projects within budget and identifying capital/O&M projects to forecast plant’s future budget
- Six Sigma quality tools
Employees in this senior‑level role direct a team of production and maintenance technicians and contractors in plant maintenance activities. The position leads internal and external resources to deliver certainty, executing plant maintenance to achieve short‑ and long‑term site goals and objectives in safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, availability, and cost management.
