Engineering Technician, Quality Engineering

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Technician to join a leading Company located in the Ocala, FL surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in the prescribed format.

• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

• Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

• Performing Certifications on ESD Mats, ESD Monitors, Solder Stations, and calibration of Air Ionizers.

• Basic Hiring Criteria:

• 1- 3years of hands-on work performing calibrations and certifications on electrostatic discharge (ESD) control equipment and related instrumentation.

• Ability to read and interpret calibration certificates, work orders, and test procedures.

• Proficiency spreadsheet tracking, and calibration management software.

• 1year of dedicated experience with floor mat testing and monitor verification.

• Knowledge of ANSI/ESDS
  20.20.

• Use of handheld ESD testers to measure surface resistance (10⁶ 10⁹Ω) and charge decay.

• 1year of experience calibrating and certifying soldering/rework stations.

• Use of calibrated thermocouples or IR pyrometers to verify set points
  -2-C.

• Experience with profiling software.
