Job Title: ESD Calibration Technician
Location: Ocala, FL (Onsite)
Schedule: 4/10 1st Shift
Pay: $24.71/hr + OT
Clearance: Ability to obtain (not required to start)
We are seeking an ESD Calibration Technician to support calibration, certification, and maintenance of electrostatic discharge (ESD) control equipment and electronic bench systems. This role involves hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of ESD mats, monitors, soldering stations, and air ionizers in a controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform certifications and calibrations on ESD mats, ESD monitors, soldering stations, and air ionizers
- Conduct surface resistance testing (106 109 ) using handheld ESD testers
- Verify and calibrate soldering/rework station temperatures ( 2
C) using thermocouples or IR pyrometers - Execute floor mat testing and continuous monitor verification
- Interpret calibration certificates, work orders, and technical procedures
- Perform alignment checks, adjustments, and equipment troubleshooting
- Document test results and maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and calibration software
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions
- Ensure compliance with ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
- 1 3 years of hands-on calibration experience with ESD control equipment
- 1+ year of experience with ESD mat testing and monitor verification
- 1+ year of experience calibrating soldering/rework stations
- Familiarity with ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
- Experience using ESD testers, thermocouples, or IR pyrometers
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and calibration data
- Proficiency with Excel or calibration tracking systems
- Experience with profiling software
- Background in electronics, electromechanical, or test equipment environments
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries
This role focuses on calibration and certification not production or quality inspection.
