Minimum Starting Salary: $1,780.37 biweekly
- Implement training initiatives for detention centers across the state, including needs assessments.
- Implement training for in‑service and requested statewide courses; review course and program content for adherence, compliance and relevance.
- Implement effective course and program evaluation strategies and instruments.
- Conduct internal job task analyses and quarterly inspection reviews in preparation of annual audits.
- Plan, coordinate and present at statewide and regional conferences, meetings and workshops with trainers, subject matter experts and juvenile justice staff.
- Consult with personnel to ensure successful implementation of new systems and procedures; participate in related special projects and work groups.
- Serve as a statewide trainer, providing in‑person training to facilities based on assessed needs, covering detention policies, operational directives and skill‑based topics.
- Adhere to all rules and policies and implement continuous quality and process improvement efforts.
- Perform other related duties as required.

- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods.
- Knowledge of training techniques and practices.
- Ability to coordinate consultative programs to resolve managerial and operational problems.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of assignments.
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to operational and management analysis activities.
- Ability to organize data into a logical format for presentation in reports and documents.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems and document work.
- Ability to conduct fact‑finding research.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Ability to travel to all regions to fulfill training duties.
- Instructor Techniques trained.
- Right Interactions Instructor certified.
- No prior discipline within the last two years.
- Preference for candidates with one or more years of experience.
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.

Driver’s license requirements: a valid Florida driver’s license is required. Out‑of‑state licensed employees must obtain a Florida license within 30 days of hire. Licenses with corrective lenses restriction are acceptable if corrective lenses are worn while operating a vehicle.
