Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physicians and other health professionals by performing clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Take and record patients' vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist the physician during exams.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect/prep specimens for lab analysis.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain examination rooms.
• Conduct EKGs, draw blood, and assist in minor surgical procedures (if certified).

Administrative Duties:

• Greet and check-in patients, verify insurance information, and update medical records.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar coordination.
• Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages.
• Manage billing, coding, and insurance claims processing (if required).
• Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification (CMA, RMA, or similar) is a plus.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
