Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment. We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World.

Cook – full time

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving healthy, flavorful meals to patients and staff under the supervision of the Dietary Director. The role includes ensuring all meals meet hospital standards, assisting with various dietary tasks, and supporting food preparation and service operations.

Qualifications Requirements
  • Education:

    High school graduation preferred.
  • Experience:

    1-3 years’ experience cooking in a large institutional or healthcare/hospital kitchen setting. Psychiatric health care facility experience preferred.
  • Certification Requirements:
    Food Handlers Permit / Serv Safe certificate required.

      Skills:

      Proficiency in chopping, slicing, dicing, and mincing ingredients efficiently and safely.
    • Cooking Techniques:
      Mastery of various methods such as sautéing, boiling, grilling, roasting, and braising.

      Ability to prioritize tasks and manage kitchen operations effectively under pressure.
    • Attention to Detail:
      Ability to follow specific dietary requirements and recipes accurately.

      Experience working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

      Flexible to cater to changing menus and dietary needs of patients.
