About the Role

At Florida Orthopaedic Institute – North Central Florida, we are committed to helping patients decrease pain, restore movement, improve function, and return to the activities that matter most to them. We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our growing outpatient orthopaedic therapy team in Ocala, FL.

This flexible opportunity is ideal for a Physical Therapist interested in outpatient orthopaedics, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports medicine, manual therapy, and post-surgical recovery within a collaborative, team-oriented clinic environment. The role was created to support a growing patient population and provide additional clinical coverage in a highly personalized outpatient setting.

This position is primarily based in Ocala, with occasional voluntary coverage opportunities at nearby clinic locations if desired. Potential future Saturday coverage opportunities may also become available.

  • Competitive compensation approximately $34–$48.50/hour or $70,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience, specialty certifications, and clinical skillset

What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with orthopaedic injuries, post-surgical needs, musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and functional limitations in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and patient assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation programs
  • Develop and progress individualized home exercise programs (HEP)
  • Provide evidence-based outpatient orthopaedic therapy interventions
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, mobility training, and modalities
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment progression, injury prevention, and home exercise programs
  • Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, athletic trainers, and therapy staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
  • Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, payer guidelines, and company policies
  • Support a positive, patient-centered clinic environment focused on quality care and teamwork

About You

We’re looking for a patient-focused, motivated, and collaborative Physical Therapist who thrives in a dynamic outpatient orthopaedic setting and wants to make a lasting impact in patients’ lives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
  • Active Florida Physical Therapist license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for outpatient orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and patient-centered care
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

  • Outpatient orthopaedic or sports medicine experience
  • Experience with musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with WebPT or other EMR systems
  • Dry needling certification, manual therapy training, or orthopedic specialization experience
  • Experience mentoring students or assisting with clinical education
