Job Description$10k Sign on bonus for Eligible candidates

Responsibilities- Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
- Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
- Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
- Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
- Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
- Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
- Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
- Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies).
- Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.
- Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

- General physics and anatomy [Preferred]
- Experience/knowledge of computers/networking [Required]
- Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
- Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education [Required]
- Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]
- Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]
- Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required]
- Excellent customer service skills [Required]
- Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel [Required]
- Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization [Required]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Associate [Preferred]
- 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) [Required] OR Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist RT(MR)(ARRT) [Required] AND
- Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range$28.68 - $53.35
