Family is looking for a kind, reliable companion caregiver for their 79‑year‑old father in Ocala (near the On Top of the World area). He is finishing short‑term rehab after hip replacement surgery and will be home in late June. His live‑in caregiver (daughter) handles his day‑to‑day, and this role is about giving her regular relief while keeping him engaged and moving.
Whatthe visits look like
3 to 4 hours, 2 to 3 times per week, schedule flexible.
- Companionship and conversation
- Light meal prep
- Light housekeeping
- Occasional errands or grocery runs
- Medication reminders
- Encouraging the gentle daily activity his recovery plan calls for, such as short walks
- Experience with seniors recovering from surgery
- Understanding of chronic conditions where fatigue and stamina are the challenge (e.g., fibromyalgia)
- Comfortable supporting adult incontinence care
- Patient and warm with someone rebuilding confidence in his own home
- Reliable transportation and references required
