Job Description:Schedule:
Three days per week, twelve-hour shifts and rotating weekends
Shift:Days
Follows established policies, procedures, guidelines, medical protocols, safety protocols, and infection control standards. Completes patient care reports, billing reports, and other required documentation per established guidelines. Performs assessments based on training and medical protocols to determine and apply treatment and transport methods. Drives ambulance safely and defensively, obeying traffic rules and regulations. Assists higher-trained personnel in providing effective care. Provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, bystanders, and other response agency personnel.
Supports community service and relationship functions as requested by leadership. Maintains ambulance and medical equipment in a state of readiness. Communicates effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and other emergency responders. Participates in ongoing training and professional development activities. Adheres to confidentiality and privacy regulations regarding patient information. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide care to ill and injured patients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- 1+ year experience in the field [Preferred]
- Licensed in the state of practice [Required]
Certifications:
- Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required] OR
- EMT-Advanced (EMT-A) [Required]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]
- Driver's License (DL) [Required]
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range:$17.11 - $27.38
Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
