– Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
– Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
– Maintain accurate records and documentation of all draws and specimen handling.
– Create a welcoming and confident environment for patients, explaining procedures clearly and professionally.
– Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
– Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area manager.
– Maintain a safe, professional environment and promote a positive image to patients, staff, and the public.
– Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and confidentiality standards.
– Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
– Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
– Recent phlebotomy experience within the past 3-4 months.
– Strong customer service skills with experience in retail or service environments preferred.
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
– Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
– Minimum of 6 months recent phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
– Reliable transportation with a commute time ideally within 20-25 minutes to the worksite.
– Must be available to work scheduled shifts, arrive on time, and remain for the entire shift.
– Must be able to provide error-free work consistently.
– Candidates currently students must ensure their schedules do not conflict with shifts.
