Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and provide high-quality rehabilitative care while adapting to various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
- Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications when indicated.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and safe swallowing strategies.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required or eligible.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
- Experience treating adult and/or pediatric patients with neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex conditions.
- Experience with dysphagia management, cognitive rehabilitation, and communication disorders.
- Strong adaptability and ability to quickly integrate into new clinical environments.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
