Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and provide high-quality rehabilitative care while adapting to various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
  • Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications when indicated.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and safe swallowing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required or eligible.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
  • Experience treating adult and/or pediatric patients with neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex conditions.
  • Experience with dysphagia management, cognitive rehabilitation, and communication disorders.
  • Strong adaptability and ability to quickly integrate into new clinical environments.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
