On this role the Lab PAA/Phlebotomist Supervisor will perform the following job duties:
- Delivers excellent patient centered service in a medical office setting by performing routine and advanced venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
- Organizes and supervises the staff in the daily operation of the practice. Also responsible for resolving complaints, issues and patient relations.
- Releases and/or places orders in electronic medical record and laboratory computer systems, receives, processes and distributes specimens and/or blood products and prepares samples for transport to other laboratories.
- Responsible for answering telephones, checking-in patients and maintaining a comfortable wait experience for patients based on practice protocols and UF Health Physicians policies and procedures.

Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Requires one year of recent phlebotomy experience (clinical or hospital based preferred).
- In addition, one or more of the following is preferred:
- Graduation from a certified health-related program at high school level or above; OR
- Successful completion of Advanced Placement courses in the sciences at the high school level: OR
- Successful completion of science based studies at college level (minimum 3 credit hours). Prefer GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must have computer operational skills using a personal computer, laboratory system or other hospital information system.
- Applicant should display initiative, have the ability to multitask and be able to take on responsibilities.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
