Job Summary:

The Host at The White Willow is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for every guest. This role sets the tone for the dining experience by providing attentive, polished, and professional service upon arrival and throughout the visit. The Host should be knowledgeable of restaurant operations, assist with guest inquiries, and ensure a smooth and seamless flow of service in alignment with The White Willow’s elevated dining standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a strong guest focus while performing all duties
  • Deliver a high‑quality and memorable guest experience from arrival to departure
  • Warmly welcome and greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage reservations and seating to ensure an efficient and balanced dining room
  • Seat guests promptly while maintaining an organized waitlist when necessary
  • Communicate guest seating and updates effectively with servers and management
  • Answer questions regarding menu offerings, beverages, and restaurant or property amenities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
  • Monitor guest flow and dining room activity to support smooth service operations
  • Check in with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
  • Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to guest requests
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed to support service
  • Complete all assigned opening, running side work, and closing duties

  • Previous host or guest service experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast‑paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
