The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! This is an on‑site role located at one of our community offices in Ocala, a region known for horse farms, national forests, and numerous natural springs. Ocala is home to attractions such as Silver Springs and the World Equestrian Center.
Responsibilities- Support the Maintenance Team in ensuring the property meets established standards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and implement solutions with a customer‑service attitude.
- Perform repairs across HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry‑wall, exterior structural, and appliance areas.
- Universal EPA certification is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician (preferred).
- Strong work ethic and eager‑to‑learn attitude.
- Experience with apartment housing strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Organized, efficient, and detail‑oriented to complete work orders.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and emergency on‑call rotation.
- Proven track record of excellent customer service.
- Must have basic tools and be able to pass basic maintenance test.
- Reliable transportation and a valid in‑state driver’s license.
- Full‑time position; includes emergency on‑call and overtime during turn season.
