Operations Manager
Antennas for Communications (AFC) is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to join our team in Ocala, Florida. This role is ideal for a professional with experience managing programs or projects within the Defense or SATCOM sectors who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Position OverviewThe Program Manager will oversee customer programs from initiation through completion, serving as the primary liaison between AFC, government customers, prime contractors, and internal teams. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and program tracking skills to ensure schedules, budgets, and technical objectives are met.
U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Ocala, FL.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary interface with government customers, ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction
- Plan, execute, and monitor program schedules in coordination with Engineering, Production, and Marketing teams
- Lead and participate in program reviews with customers and prime contractors
- Track program performance related to cost, schedule, and technical requirements
- Prepare program documentation including plans, schedules, risk assessments, and status reports
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements
- Utilize Microsoft Project or similar tools to maintain schedules and generate reports
- Support business development efforts with program management and technical insight
- Ensure compliance with DoD policies, regulations, and contractual requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of program or project management experience, preferably in DoD or SATCOM environments
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, and program risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including customer-facing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with RF, antenna systems, or advanced engineering programs is a plus
