The Service Department is the heartbeat of the dealership. The Service Manager sets the tone - building clear processes, strong communication, and a team culture grounded in our Core Values: Honor, Readiness, Victory, and Loyalty.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a service team with clarity, coaching, and accountability
- Strengthen long-term customer relationships through consistency & trust
- Drive productivity, technician development, and operational excellence
- Increase profitability through staffing efficiency & quality standards
- Ensure the department delivers reliable, high-quality workmanship
- Foster collaboration with other departments to support dealership success
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of an efficient, profitable Service Department
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and followthrough
- Support and guide technicians through training, development, and performance feedback
- Uphold warranty guidelines and ensure accurate documentation
- Maintain high product and technical knowledge to support the team
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Maintain departmental organization, workflow, and adherence to processes
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve dealership goals
- Champion a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical experience in the medium/heavyduty truck industry
- Technician training such as ASE and/or OEM certifications (desired)
- Strong internal and external customer service abilities
- Familiarity with warranty processes and guidelines
- Proven ability to lead others in a positive, empowering way
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of product and technical knowledge
- Strong organizational abilities and comfort with multitasking
- Preferred Qualifications*
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications used at this location
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Knowledge of International and supplier warranty policies
- Ability to support teamwork and a respectful, collaborative environment
