Shift: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri (6am-4:30pm Mon-Sat occasionally with overtime)
Pay: $16.50-$17.00/hr
Position OverviewWe are seeking a mechanically inclined Assembler to build and assemble large pump systems used in fire trucks. This role involves working with blueprints and schematics, using various tools and equipment, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, air tools, and hydraulic equipment to complete builds
- Perform fitting, aligning, pressing, and adjusting components to meet required specifications
- Conduct basic wiring and installation as needed
- Utilize measuring and testing instruments to ensure accuracy and quality
- Identify, document, and report defective parts or products
- Troubleshoot and repair assemblies when necessary
- Transport materials and finished products using cranes, hoists, and hand trucks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Report supply shortages, safety concerns, and maintenance needs to supervisors
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
- Experience with mechanical assembly and production environments
- Knowledge of pneumatics
- Familiarity with cranes, hoists, presses, and assembly fixtures
- Ability to read torque specifications and mechanical tolerances
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills
- Hand tools and power tools

- Cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment
- Entry Level (mechanical aptitude required; training provided)
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
