SCOPEPerform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Responsible for mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and other devices.
- Design and fabricate electrical boxes for installation of components.
- Drill, edge fill, fit and assemble a variety of detail parts, and assemblies, including cutting openings in bodies to accommodate wire and components, using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect proper installations and integrity.
- Use general and precision tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintain necessary documentation and records.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Perform assembly operations on structural and mechanical sub‑assemblies, equipment, and accessories.
- Perform other work as assigned.
- Assist with production operations to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.
- Follow safety rules, promote safe operating conditions within area, and notify supervisor of unusual or unsafe operating conditions.
- Participate in meetings, training programs and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, help resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of changes to equipment, process, new developments, requirements, policies and procedures.
- Safety:
Follow E‑ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions, notify coworkers and supervisors of hazardous acts and conditions. Use PPE properly, defect‑free equipment, promote safety. Use proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with 5‑S Philosophy. Participate in hazardous‑communication training and safety meetings. - Quality:
Responsible for the quality of work. Defect‑free work and understanding of the company’s quality system. Check work for conformance to process control instructions, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and segregate non‑conforming product. Initiate and implement corrective and preventive actions when appropriate. - Flexibility:
Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Willing to work additional hours as necessary. - Initiative:
Actively participate in continuous improvement to better serve customers and improve profitability. Seek work in other areas when current assignment is complete and suggest improvements to product quality, processes, safety, and profitability. - Teamwork:
