Deco 12-Hour Night Shift – General Production Worker Job Description
This role involves working in a climate‑controlled food manufacturing facility to support general production activities. You will focus on packing small tubes of icing into boxes, sealing the boxes, and performing related general labor and packaging tasks to ensure products are prepared accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Pack small tubes of icing into boxes according to established procedures and production standards.
- Seal boxes securely to maintain product quality and safety during storage and transport.
- Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
- Follow all packaging and packing guidelines to ensure consistent product presentation and accurate counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support food safety and production efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with team members on the production line to meet daily and shift production goals.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and food handling policies and procedures within the facility.
- Monitor work for accuracy and promptly report any issues with packaging, materials, or equipment to the appropriate personnel.
- Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced general production setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Capability to perform repetitive packing and packaging tasks for the duration of a 12‑hour shift.
- Reliability in following instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes and product materials as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in general production or packaging roles in a food or manufacturing facility is helpful.
- Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with coworkers on the production line.
- Willingness to participate in training to acclimate to processes, equipment, and quality standards.

The position follows a 12‑hour night shift schedule from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a 2‑2‑3 rotation, providing a predictable pattern of workdays and days off. The environment centers around production lines, packaging areas, and general labor tasks, with an emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food manufacturing practices.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.
