Position Summary

The Module Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical pump units, including complete pump module packages. Duties include attaching pump bodies and related components, performing functional testing, and completing certification of finished equipment. This role ensures all assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance standards before release.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform basic assembly, fitting and wiring as necessary to build a wide range of sub-assemblies and finished product.
  • Build to detailed procedures, cross sections or from general instructions and acceptable mechanical practices.
  • Repair and troubleshoot when required.
  • Use sound mechanical judgment to independently install components with limited instruction.
  • Use a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tooling and equipment.
  • Read and understand torque values and procedures.
  • Report supply needs in a timely manner, assuring required supply levels are maintained.
  • Report any safety and maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Install components required to inspect products.
  • Perform operations: connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting for proper clearance using any tools required to attain alignment, fits, clearances, and specifications as required.
  • Remove test components from all types of pumps as required.
  • Transport products and other equipment to designated work area.
  • Display an attention to detail and attitude.
  • Detect and correct errors.
  • Make repairs and adjustments as required to pass inspection.
  • Clean and make minor repairs to assembly equipment.
  • Store and place items in proper locations to keep the assembly area clean, clutter‑free, and orderly.
  • Consistently produce work of proper quality and required quantity.
  • Utilize time during assembly process to perform other duties within this job description.
  • Perform routine maintenance on assembly and test equipment.
  • Perform annual inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Required Abilities
  • Read tape measure in both standard and metric scales.
  • Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Document individual work orders.
  • Speak effectively to co‑workers, supervisor, and other departments to clarify work orders and blueprints.
Education and Experience

At least 6 months of experience doing light industrial or mechanical assembly.

At least 6 months of experience using a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tooling and equipment.

The employee must be able to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lay down to complete tasks.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds individually and over 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus to read work instructions, BOMs, work orders, and shop orders. May be exposed to various workplace hazards, including but not limited to chemicals, machinery, and noise.

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
