FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build backup power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Job SummaryThe Mechanical Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the mechanical packaging operations during the first shift, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in the assembly of tanks and enclosures.
Responsibilities Team Management- Supervises a team of mechanics, ensuring adequate staffing levels and assigning tasks appropriately.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Manages and updates the production schedule for Packaging, assigns responsibility to appropriate staff and daily communicates the priorities.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
- Inspect welded components to ensure they meet specifications and are free from defects.
- Identify and address any quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production planning and scheduling departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures to create a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Schedule and oversee equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor equipment usage and identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze production data to identify root causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, quality, and safety performance.
- Provide feedback to management on areas for improvement and recommendations for process optimization.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in mechanics or related field preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanics, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. - Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working understanding of mechanics and basic manufacturing techniques.
- Pipe fitting/threading skills
- Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with safety regulations and procedures.

This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery.
OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
